His Redeeming Love

I would like to introduce to you my new rose, "His Redeeming Love". This rose germinated last spring of 2010. It had a rough start for I had it in the ground and some sort of bug was eating at its' roots, so I put it in a pot and I was afraid it would not make it through the cold winter therefore I brought it inside under lights for 4-5 months. Recently I just put it outside in the greenhouse and it has taken off just beautifully. As you can see from the first picture the color of the bud is a nice light yellow and stays that color as the bloom opens although the last two photos are a little washed out.

There is some fragrance but mostly mild. The foliage is a medium green, and has shown no sign of disease this year.

JFK X Bronze Star

When the blooms start to open it leans towards a hybrid tea form, then when it is completely open it has that old fashion rose form as you can see in the photos. It has a strong clove scent.
